[name of student] will be traveling abroad for vacation purposes [to attend a conference, to attend a wedding, and/or to visit a sick family member] and will be requesting a new visa to reenter the U.S. It is important for [name of student] that he returns to the U.S. as soon as possible to resume his studies.
