National Science Foundation (NSF) Opportunities for Graduate Students

Graduate student scholarships listed within this section require that individuals be enrolled in a U.S. degree program in order to be eligible for study or research opportunities abroad. Scholarships target graduate students in the fields of basic, social and population sciences who are primarily U.S. citizens and permanent residents.

Students may or may not receive UCSF academic credit for participating in study or research opportunities abroad. Biological Anthropology PhD Dissertation Research Improvement Grant

Description: Supports research focused on living and fossil forms of both human and nonhuman primates, including human genetic and epigenetic variation, human and nonhuman primate ecology and paleontology, socioecology, functional anatomy and skeletal biology, and anthropological forensics.
